Thank you so much for putting this song and clip and Rox Russell on the Internet, so that we can all see it. I watch it all the time. How you do it? I don't know. But, THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES! I love Ros Russell; oh. Thank you very much; even "profoundly", as Sen Mc Cain says. I'm voting for Marcus Aurelius, since he coined Gold Coins. And: VP: Greta. Thanks so much for ROZ!!! YOU ARE WONDERFUL!!!

i love rosalind russell and adore this film but yeesh.... these sounds pretty bad...
they did a fantastic job dubbing her, the voice and all there technicalites like vocal mannerisms are spot on.

You're wrong about "You'll Never Get Away Fomr Me" - listen to my clip of Roz' voice and then listen to the youtube clip of the released film. They are completely different, since Roz was completely dubbed by Lisa Kirk in that number.
Roz did sing in "Together" but that song was cut before the film was released.

Not true. In the original release, she also sang You'll Never Get Away From Me and Together Whereever We Go

No wonder the Merm used to play Roz's voice and parties for a laugh. This is just ridiculous. She has no pitch AT ALL. This is like one of those American Idol auditions during the first week; it's so had you can't help but watch. I'd compare it to a train wreck, but even a train wreck has to to know where it is going at some point...

She doesn't sing good...

"ROSE" 1:48

I love her pitch perfect "GOODBYE" at 2:36. It get's me every time I watch it.

Didn't my note make that clear? I mentioned Lisa's name twice.
There was no mixing of voices. Roz sings "Mr. Goldstone" and the first half of "Rose's Turn" - everything else is entirely Lisa Kirk. Listen to my clips, and then to the released film, and you'll hear that. |
