The opening theme of the sixties tv show, Petticoat Junction. I saw it in black and white and this is the clip I like. A later version had the dog popping his head up from the tank.

Like I say. . .keep up the good work friend. I wish I could convince others to join in our hobby because where else is the only cost associated with it - the hobby - is a little gas? Have a good Thanksgiving and try not to each too much. :)

wlittle: I'm just a rail buff! I even have one of the PA "railroad" special fund plates on my daily driver Jeep. That $35 (one-time fee) plate depicts the painting, "When The Broad Way Meets The Dawn", a scene on the old Pennsylvania Railroad at daybreak.

Bea Benaderet was one of the greatest character actresses and voice talents of her day. Not only was she Lucille Ball's original choice for the part of Ethel Mertz, she was Cousin Pearl on The Beverly Hillbillies and the voice of Betty Rubble on The Flintstones :-D

Those girls were tramps- They were entertaining men all day up at the water tower. Sluts!

OldsVistaCruiser, I take from your knowledge of the Petticoat Junction locomotive you must either be a rail buff or retired railroad man. Am I right? Either way, keep up the good work!

Got my first crush on a female TV character watching this show. I really really wanted to pull a train at 8 years old.

i think all 3 shows were produced by Paul Henning and it's one of the few times in TV history that i can remember when the same characters could cross over into 3 different shows.

Actually, there were three CBS shows that crossed over with each other in that era - Beverly Hillbillies crossed over with Green Acres and Petticoat Junction. Green Acres and Petticoat Junction were set in the same town, Hooterville, so they crossed over far more than the Beverly Hillbillies, who were supposed to originally be from the same area.
